Amirah believes in autonomy, agency, education, and support for any and all outcomes (abortion, miscarriage, etc.) for all birthing folks. With a background in social work, she is specifically trained in trauma-informed care, patient advocacy, and harm reduction. She serves all identities, but has deep experience working with both the Black diasporic community and Muslim families who are looking for birth support that is inclusive of their lived experiences. She believes in dignified reproductive care experiences that meet the families' specific wants and needs. She strives to encourage families to personalize their support and planning to the energy of their family dynamics.
Outside of birthwork, Amirah hails from the East Coast and is now acclimating to West Coast vibes. She is proud BTS army, learning Korean, proficient in Spanish, and expanding her doula universe into fertility, adoption/guardianship, and family planning support, along with studying, understanding and respecting birth practices around the world.
